Italia Part I
From SF to London to Italia (almost 13 hours of flying in total), we finally arrived in Italia. After an hour of driving, we were greeted with this beautiful view of Lago d'Iseo at our hotel. The next two days were spent at L'Albereta Relais-Chateaux, a quaint little hotel in between the Franciacorte vineyards.
Extremely famished—dinner time!
Exploring the hotel & relaxing was so refreshing. And, just before the thunderstorm hit, we were able to explore an interesting fitness walk and come across dainty flowers and fun statues.
Before we called it a day, my sister and I took a dip in the indoor swimming pool. Got some cool shots underwater:
The second day was off to a wonderful start as we were greeted with a cute little buffet of tasty pastries, deserts, fresh fruits, and a nice meat & cheese selection. The perfectly airy and buttery croissants were definitely a highlight of the meal.
Then it was off to the town center and Mount Isola, a little island fifteen minutes across Lago d'Iseo. We rented bikes and traveled along the water to see the stunning view. Stopped for a late lunch and also browsed a few of the shops.
Back at the town center, we had some dinner and walked around as the sun began to set. It's quite interesting how late the sun stays up over here.
Before we started heading back to our hotel, we made sure to stop for some dessert. The weather was unseemingly hot and we needed something to cool down. The gelato was so delicious and the colors filled me with such joy—success!
Follow my family and I as we explore Lago di Como, Lago di Garda, and Milan throughout the next week. Stay tuned for another part with more adventures, amazing food, and breath-taking views.
